Krakow History Museum (Muzeum Historyczne Miasta Krakowa / Pałac Krzysztofory)

The main building Krakow History Museum located in the Palace "Cristofori" on the Main Market square. Museum consists of 14 branches located in various areas of the city, registered in State Register of Museums. Founded in 1899 as a department in the Archive of Ancient Acts of the city of Krakow, museum has not exhibited its collections from the beginning of its existence. First exhibition was organized only in 1952 in Krausowski house. Museum housed in the Palace "Cristofori" since 1964 with the exhibition "Life and culture of Krakow".
The first part of the future permanent exhibit, titled "Cyberteka. Kraków - Time & Space", is now open and chronicles the spatial and urban development of the city from its earliest beginnings until about 1915, via spiffy multimedia displays and 3D films.
This market square building is also home to a large museum shop with lots of souvenirs, posters, books and other information available.
Interesting, modern place. Excellent form of mastering of historical knowledge.

Excellent museum. Good organization. Every year, children visit the exhibition of nativity scenes but from what time you can see, it is difficult for children to cram them because adults are so fascinated by it difficult for them to get away, they want to see every detail (like children :)). That's good, because the cribs from year to year are getting better, and sometimes they look like little works of art. Really worth seeing it with my own eyes. We recommend ...
