The Stained Glass Muzeum built specifically for the stained glass workshop. This workshop, founded in 1902, produced thousands stained glass windows installed in private and public buildings in Krakow. In 2000 workshop became the property of Peter Ostrovsky, who founded the Krakow Museum of Stained Glass in the building.

Museum has a permanent exhibition of historical collections and the so-called "live exhibition", during which you can see the traditional process of stained glass production. Museum also operates a Gallery of Contemporary Glass, where temporary exhibitions of contemporary glass artists are held.

Visiting is only possible with a guide and the approximately 45-min tour is offered hourly in Polish and English. And also you can arrange tour in French, Italian or German.

The museum also hosts a cafe and gift shop where you can get beautiful stained glass pieces created on-site. Though more expensive than other museums, a visit is absolutely worth it for fans of the medium, as well as Art Nouveau enthusiasts.

Very interesting Museum/work. As someone in the same area, I would recommend to visit, because it is rather rzadkosc, this kind of curiosity.

Fantastic place! This is not a traditional Museum, because the inspection is the presentation of the history workshop, tools, crafts, the process of creating a stained glass version of the "live" and ready-made exhibits. Our guide was Mrs. Denis - very enthusiastic, przeurocza a graduate of Art History. Most interesting is that our presence there was regular work as handmade and art. We had the opportunity to live to learn all the stages of creating these works of art! This place is worthy!

Fantastyczne miejsce! To miejsce godne polecenia!

This is really one of the most unique artistic places in Cracow!
Both a museum and a real stained-glass workshop, non-commercial, encompassing the historical and the contemporary, with a truely original atmosphere, inspiring
In the 40-min guided tour it is possible to learn (and actually see!) how stained glass is made, at the same time you admire stained glass and stained glass designs from the beginning of the 20th century, together with contemporary ones. The effect is incredible: real art on glass in an original setting (the workshop still keeps the shape and the interior of its foundation time).
You can have the tour in english as well, plus italian or russian by appointment. It is also possible to book a stained glass practical lesson with a master.
Last but not least, the lovely cafe: relaxing surrounded by amazing pieces of glass art on a jazz background is certainly an uncommon experience in today's touristic Cracow.
