In the times of Ancient Rus Сastle Hill was called Khorevitsa, but since the 15th century it becomes a Castle. The origin of this name is associated with the construction of the wooden castle, built after the occurrence of Kiev in 1363 in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
The atmosphere of the mountain covered with magic. Castle Hill is one of the famous places of power and so-called "bald hills" of the Ukrainian capital. And such hills as is well known, are very attractive to witches. Because of that, for all lovers of the unexplained and supernatural, Castle Hill is the embodiment of mysticism of Andrew's descent, as well as pagan Kiev, as it is an ancient pagan shrine.
There is a staircase, which was recently renovated, that lead from Andrew's descent to the Castle hill.
Castle Hill offers a great view of Podil, Andriyivsky descent and St. Andrew's Church, as well as the Vozdvizhenka. Tourists have to see it live or have to take a picture at least once, especially if you'd never been there.
Beautiful place to stay, offering amazing views of the city.
Been there a few times a day and once at night. Night is more like it.
Hope it will stay untouched
This place of POWER. A long stay there will not work. To walk here is very desirable with a positive attitude and ease in the shower.
Very beautiful panorama of the city! Of unpleasant things - garbage (utilities not removed), an abandoned cemetery and a pagan temple. Deep, if you search, there is a "Bench catcher" - there is a very beautiful view
There is an ancient pagan temple. Every Sunday at 10 am out the rite to the Slavic deity Yarilo. Who wants to come, let us jump over the fire.
Just a great view, relaxed atmosphere. Good place for walking in any season.
Good place to walk with family, children, and romantic walks. Stunning views of Kyiv in all its glory.
The mountain offers a panoramic view of the hem and also on the Vozdvizhenka Andreevskiy descent. Rumor has it that because of the close proximity to an old cemetery at night, there are going to Satanists.
