Slutskaya Brama - original monument of Baroque architecture of XVII century. Brama with ramparts, adjacent from left and right, were part of the city fortifications, protecting the entrance to the city from the Slutsky tract.
Brama has two tiers. The bottom has arch length of 10 meters. There are rooms for guards and customs on the ground floor. There is original plaque with the text about taxes.
The second tier has lightweight architectural forms. On the second floor, with the colored glass, was a chapel. Usually, people worshiped there before they enter the town.
Massiveness, narrow windows make Brama like a miniature fortress, which it actually was.
