Father Bernatek Footbridge crosses the Wisla River to the south of the centre, connecting the Kazimierz and Podgórze districts. Leaf-shaped, 130 meters long structure suited both for pedestrians and cyclists, and have twin walkway design by local architect Andrzej Getter.
Bernatek bridge is now a favourite part of the city's landscape, both for its convenience and aesthetic appeal.
The bridge has played an important role in the revival of the two areas between Plac Wolnica and Rynek Podgorski, which became an ideal destination for the pub crawl.
