The Basilian Monastery Complex - a monument of baroque architecture. It includes the Church of Holy Nativity, residential and utility buildings, chapel. There are remains of Prechistenskaya Church of the XII century.
It's located in the historic center of Grodno. It was built in the period from 1720 to 1751 by italian architect Fontana. Architecture of the monastery complex displays transition from baroque to classicism.
In 1839 the monastery was abolished in 1843 became Orthodox. In 1977-92 in the temple housed a museum of atheism and religion. Since 1992, there are Holy Nativity of the Virgin Convent opened. In the same year, the monastery returned myrrh-streaming icon of the Vladimir Mother of God. The monastery operates a Sunday school.
