Lesser Poland Voivodeship
Celestat is a branch of the Krakow History Museum, located in a small park near the bus station. The permanent exhibition presents the history of the uniquely Cracovian Fowler Brotherhood - a male cult of hunters and marksmen who wear strange hats, worship a silver chicken and have their very own king. The history of the Brotherhood and their role in the defence of the city is in a series of oil paintings, guns, teapots, photographs and other relics.
And of course inside the Sharpshooters’ Hall you'll see the object of their adoration - a mystical silver chicken from the 16th century.
The Museum includes four rooms: the Armoury, the Treasury, the Musketeers hall, Fraternal hall.
