Water tower, erected on the draft Russian engineer Vladimir G. Shukhov (1853-1939).
Borisov Shukhov Tower - one of the two preserved in Belarus. Not everyone knows that the Shukhov Towers located not only in Moscow but also in other cities, in particular in Borisov. You can see her on the Gastello str., near the city park. It was built in 1927 for the needs of the train station.
The tower is a graceful metal structure in the shape of a rotating hyperboloid. But the originality of engineer was the fact that the curved shape made entirely of straight parts, held together not by welding but rivets. There are only 11 of such tower remaining in the world.
